Did you know that today's my birthday? I have to go to work today, which is less-than-desirable (I usually take the day off for my birthday), but D is taking a break from studying for finals so that we can go out to lunch at this delicious place down the street, and it's supposed to be a beautiful spring day. A sweet friend brought me cupcakes this weekend and I'm seriously considering eating one for breakfast. My mom and dad sent me a card with a check enclosed, and I'm under strict instructions to spend it on something fun and frivolous.
Fun and frivolous? I think I can manage that.
PS--that first picture is of me and my sis when we were probably about 9 and 5. As you can see, my love for red goes way back.
